Remember that sermon notes are a guideline and may not be *exactly* what was preached.
Vs.26: In verse 13 and 14 Jesus said that if we asked anything in His name He would do it… Now here He is Stating that the Father will send the Helper in His Name… The Helper is a representative of Christ He Comes In Jesus Name to fulfill God’s will in and through us.
So let the Holy Spirit (Our Helper) help you deal with anything that’s keeping you from obeying Christ. And He also teaches and brings to Mind…
Jesus tells us that he fulfills the Will of God in and through us IF we are willing. Drug addicts… (have to be willing to change).
The Holy Spirit doesn’t need to help you in what you’re not going to do, so if you’re in rebellion against Jesus and refusing His right to be Lord, not walking in obedience; unwilling to take the Next Step, He doesn’t need to send the Holy Spirit to equip you for service. And, in your rebellion, you miss out on the joy that He brings, on the blessings that He desires for you.
The Holy Spirit not only teaches be but also empowers me to live the life of Christ now, enabling me to take the Next Step of obedience!

In this world… I have overcome the world, the peace of conquest, not like the Romans or the rest of the world. The peace the world offers is escape from conflict, the absence of trouble. The peace Jesus offers to those that walk in obedience is an inner peace. Peace that comes by faith in Him…
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. – Hebrews 11:1
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. – Colossians 3:14-15
