Vs.5 – Apart from Christ, separated from Him, we have no hope of salvation.
Vs. 6 – Where is the fire that those who will are not abiding in Jesus? Where is it they will end up? Hell: …when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might… 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

To love placing no conditions on the other person, to accept them as they are, where they are, and not leave them… Jesus never left anyone, he gave them the choice… If you abide…

Turn to Revelation 2:1-7 – they left their first Love, they were not abiding in Christ (love) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’ – Revelation 2:7

the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you – Romans 8:11
Romans 11 cut off….
Those who abide in Christ, who constantly put their knowledge of God into action, who are empowered by the SPIRIT, walking in Love, seeking Truth, praying, and following Jesus, are true Christians, they are attached to the vine.
Questions to Ponder:
Are you Abiding in Christ?
How are you to abide in the love of Christ?
What is going to happen to those who are not abiding?
Who does God tell us will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction with no hope of salvation? (see 2 Thessalonians 1:8b)
What can you do to keep yourself and others from that?
