Forgiveness of Self 4-7

To say that God can’t forgive you is to call Him a liar; you are spiritually blind and you have placed yourself above God claiming to know better than He does.

It is very important to let go of your past sins. If you have faith that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, you don’t need to feel guilty. Guilt causes you to avoid—conviction comes to provoke you to change – to take the next step and move forward.

The Cost of Forgiveness

While we can receive things free of charge, it cost someone somewhere something.  The free gift of Salvation was paid for by somebody else. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells us we were bought at a price, “do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

Joy! 12-16

We must set aside our selfish desires, take our focus off of our offense, and be one in Christ Jesus who is our joy, hope and peace! It is really this simple: Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say Rejoice! LET YOUR REASONABLENESS BE KNOWN TO EVERYONE! Don’t let gossip stir up the offense, let it go! Move forward in Christ!

Forgiveness 11-11

Unforgiveness has split churches, destroyed ministries, and drove those that do not know Jesus away. Unforgiveness can cause gossip to take root and bitterness to flower. When that tree bears fruit it is in the form of negativity – wounding, hurtful, and scornful fruit that is evident for all to see.

Seeking and Going (3/11)

When you responded to the call of God to come to Jesus and to receive the gift offered you in what He accomplished on the cross, at that point you were commissioned to be His witness in this world as part of His Church, to bring about change, to build community through the application of the one anothers of God’s Word and to reach out to your neighbor!

Oh but Pastor I couldn’t possibly do that. I don’t have the knowledge…

Love, Forgiveness, and Justice (2-18)

Jesus prayed that we would be one! That we here would be one and that we would be one with the rest of His church. That means that you and I have to become part of the Gospel story. Jesus suffered horrendously before and during the Crucifixion for you. We can no longer afford to sit by and do nothing. You can’t make the excuse, “Let somebody else do it.” That it’s someone else’s thing. You are the one called to Go! Take the Next Step!
